Maybe someone can give me some insight on this matter. Just unboxed a brand New Glock 35 MOS and took it apart for a cleaning and inspection. What I thought was just oil on the rear of the slide appears not to be and looks to be Discolouration of the Finish on the slide. I took off the rear MOS plate and it travels underneath it as well. I’ve tried several different things to see if it is infact just oil, but it will not come off, nor does it go away if I re-oil the finish of the slide? The pictures don’t show it very well, it is a lot darker than it appears in the

I emailed Glock USA on Wensday April 4 with my concerns and the next day I already got a response from the armorer at Glock and sent him my pics. Not even an hour later the Canadian Sales Manger for Glock emailed me and said he agrees there is some Discoloration with my slide and I’ve got Two options! He can comp me some spare mags and apparel/swag or he can replace the pistol. Me being kind of OCD about my Firearms I chose to have it replaced. He then got in touch with the dealer I bought it from to work on getting a replacement. However they are out of stock so he’s working on locating me another one from another distributor in Canada, he even asked if I wanted to replace it with the same or a different model. In the mean time he’s sending me a free shirt!!! Being in Canada I honestly didn’t expect this kind of service mainly because were relatively small compared to the US with our firearms. Needless to say I’m extremely impressed with the service so far!!!
