Brand New Hical.ca .50 Beowulf 5 Round METAL Mags Coming Soon!!!

Here is a pic of the top of the mag, the followers are black, we actually have our demo mags in our possession. We will be doing a test video this weekend on them with some ARs, stay tuned.....

not to be a "Debbie Downer" but the more you guys advertise these mags as being able to take 5.56, the more the RCMP are going to chomp at the bit to clamp down on this loophole with their "dual use" bull#### and demand these mags be pinned to 5 rounds of 5.56

Sure looks the same as a gi 20 rd curved mag. The addition of the dents to stop follower travel is an even bigger indicator that its not a custom one off mag for beowulf. Why not make a shorter mag if thats the case.

And i bet if you take measurements its exactly the same as other STANAG based mags

It actually looks identical to the shape of the metal 5/7 round Alexander Arms Beowulf mags...

It's not like it's a secret. And they have announced themselves that it's fine to use another round that fits, and the capacity is based on the origional calibre it was designed for.

I know, but you're talking about hoping that the RCMP weapons lab does not screw us over.

We've already seen what happened with SigArms owners, then with NRM when they kept advertising that their 20 round AIA bolt gun mags would work in M14 pattern rifles.

I think it very plausible to have a situation where the lab decides that these aftermarket beowulf mags (not the OEM Alexander Arms mags) are "dual-use", since they're heavily being marketed as being able to hold more than 5 rounds of 5.56mm

This has been discussed ad nauseam.

"Dual-use" is used to describe magazines designed to be used in two types of firearms (Bulletins 2 and 3). http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cfp-pcaf/bulletins/bus-ent/20110323-72-eng.htm . Dual-use does NOT mean a magazine designed to be used legally in one rifle, but just happens to function in another rifle (Bulletin 4). "The maximum permitted capacity of a magazine is determined by the kind of firearm it is designed or manufactured for use in and not the kind of firearm it might actually be used in." Secondly, this is not something the "lab" can revisit. Capacity limits are outlined in Legislation. Last I heard, and I could be wrong , the "Lab" cannot create or change legislation. Before you bring up the Swiss and CZ debacle, that is a completely different issue.

I have lost faith in the RCMP to act reasonably. AND if a retailer begins to advertise a product as working in multiple types of guns, then they can argue that is what the magazines are intended for, hence dual-use.

The RCMP initially allowed the 20 round AIA mags before doing a 180 and prohibiting them

IIRC, the "Lee-Enfield" is named specifically in the FA as containing no more than 10rds, so that eliminated the 20rd magazine. The shortened 10rd AIA magazines just happen to work great in an M14.....

These magazines are for a .50 Beowulf AR, they hold 5.5 rounds of .50 Beowulf cartridges!
^^this, and this is what matters, and all your chickens are too afraid to buy..just look at how long have the Canadian PVC .50 mag been for sale?did the RCMP raid the factory?did they raid the stores who sold them? No, because it's not against the law to manufacture or sell 5 round Beowulf magazines, which was designed/manufactured from ground up for .50 Beowulf, NOT JUST STAMPING SOME LETTERING ON 5.56 mags(DUAL USE), GET IT?

good, I like the fact that a retailer is stepping up and fully testing a product they are going to be supplying. How many rounds of 50 beo have you run through them in testing to state they are 100% reliable?

^^^^^ Agreed . I would like to see if it locks in loaded with the bolt closed. I've seen to many mags fail this test and at $40 a pop I'd like to confirm before I order. Thanks

I am more concerned with the follower being used on the 50 beo round. I have read a lot of different reviews in the US on the different mags and the AA mags seem to be the only ones without issue and even still some are swapping out to the newer design anti tilt
