So i am brand new to loading, bought the Lyman 49th Manual and have been reading it. Going to be ordering the Lee 50th Anniversary Kit, 300WM die set, 300WM case trimmer, conditioning kit, powder trickler, Nosler Accubond, Nosler brass, Hodgdon H1000 and Hodgdon H4831.
I will be mainly loading for my new project gun, a custom Remington 700 in 300WM, but also may consider loading for my 308. Is there anything else people would recommend to a newbie. I will also be getting a scale just not sure which one yet. Any suggestions or info would be great. Thanks, Trevor.

Beam scale. Something like the rcbs 5-0-5. Lots of guys have great luck with digital scales, but lots have issues. You wont hear too many complaints about beam scales. Loading for a 300 you probably won't be loading 100 rounds a week so the time spent on a beam scale isn't huge.
