Put a quick 50 rds through my new M&P from just over 25ft. I'm pretty new to pistol shooting so don't be too harsh! What do you think? Not bad? Mostly double taps.

Not at all bad shooting. I've still got to pick one of those up (the 45), I already love my M&P 9.
PS, if you're going to shoot 45, might I suggest reloading - there's nothing like being able to go to the range with a half case of 45 auto and still being able to afford to eat :D

Still waiting for rpal in the mail so no pics yet..grrr!Gun is being stored at the range. 45 feels very nice to me, I have shot the m&p9 as well, very comparable in felt recoil to me anyhow. This is my 3rd time shooting a pistol. Boy am I shaky! Hope I learn to control that a little better.lol

Doing lots of reading for now.

I love my M&P9... have had it since last October, first pistol I ever bought and the last pistol I will ever get rid of.

Anybody having any rust issues with the M&P slides? I've been thinking about trying one out, but certain metals simply don't do well living next to the Atlantic Ocean no matter the maintenance. Even certain stainless alloys don't cut it without constant care. Just wondering is all...:)

You can do a bunch of things... White Crayons, Nail Polish or that Brownells stuff..

I just used white nail polish on mine. Did it on my Glock as well, turned out really well and has held up fine.

So i take it you just use remover to clean off any excess nail polish you might get on the slide? I would like to black out the "caution- capable of firing with magazine removed" I suppose black nail polish would be hard to find though.

Actually, it's pretty easy. Ask your local Goth girl. :)

Dude I went shopping with my girl for nail polish and she had to get some black stuff for a role in a movie she was playing. Needless to say I soon learned about the many different 'shades' of black. I saw; blacker than black, midnight black, black, charcoal black and the list goes on! Insanity I tell you.
PS, thats my story and I am sticking to it.

Nice M&P.
