Brand new Marlin 336 with a canted front sight!!

Fixed the issue myself.Turns out the front sight was loose and canted. My son spotted it right away.Took it off, cleaned out the hole and screw with brakecleen, then red lock tighted everything down.Good to go!:slap::dancingbanana::runaway:

Ive been wanting 2 marlin rimfires and have looked at dozens in stores. All were canted and thus stayed in the store. I refuse to mail order one because i want to inspect it first

Send it back to the store you got it from because gravel will probably take 2 years to figure out

Gravel took very little time to figure mine out and tell me they'd send a hand-picked replacement when the next batch arrived. The next batch didn't arrive soon, but when my replacement got to me it proved worth waiting for. Not the first time I've had good service from them.

The worst Marlin of all the levers I've owned was in fact a Sbl Marlin with JM stamp.what a piece of crap that was.the bolt wasn't even flush with the reciever when the lever was in the closed position.it has a bent front sight and an extra dovetail machined into the barrel ,looked like they used a stainless guide gun barrel and stamped it sbl and built a sbl with it.
