I am no fan of Sigs, I have yet to experience a bobble in any Sig I have or have owned. I have umpteen thousand rounds through my P226 and it just keeps chugging along. Regards, Richard

p226 said:now,it's time to jump a conclusionthere are couples of causes:
1.new recoil spring was too tight. something wrong with the designing? sig sauer is supposed to consider the new spring 's strength could cause some extract problem.
2.too less lubrication on moving parts.this is also controversial,I think sig p226 should have dead reliability, not too picky on lubrication![]()
3.ammo was underpowerful, but this is a little bit controversial.
4.shooter had limb-wristing,since someone else shot without problem. but this is a controversial factor.
so anyway, sig p226 gave me bad experience. I am gonna looking for my .45ACP. maybe s&w 1911![]()
p226 said:hello, guys,Today I just shot 100 rounds through my gun, perfect shooter, instructor said my gun's trigger is awesome. so far 250 rounds through p226blackwater without any problem after that incident. so the only problem seems lack of lubrication. that time I cleaned the p226 with crud cutter but didn't put enough good oil(not sythetic oil).

Big JD-From the hills said:Would it be possible that you put the recoil spring on backwards, because that would cause a bit of un nesasary binding on the guide rod. I have a p226 in .40, I have purposely tryed to limp wrist it with my lighter handloads, but couldn't get it to fail no matter how loose I held it. Although it does have close to 4000rds through it, but the spring is still tight.
You said you were shooting 115gr Winchester ammo? Did you buy it from LeBaron's? They may have had a bad batch of that particular type of ammo, as I've had two jams with two pistols that have never had any sort of malfunctions up to that point (a USP and a P226) a couple of weeks and both jams happened with 115gr Winchester.p226 said:nothing wrong after that incident,I shot through 650 rounds without any single malfunction.
