I took the plunge and got a new Ruger Red Label. It came fairly well recommended and so far I am very happy with it. Well engineered at a great price. I got it from Clay Smiley at Prophet River Firearms in Lloydminster AB. Clay's a great guy to deal with and has top notch service and patience. Thanks Clay!

Thats a sweet gun. Same one's on my list.

Think you might have meant Lloydminster instead of Lethbridge.

Either way, really ejoyed the pictures. Cant wait to pick up the same gun for myself.

Haha yes. Lloydminster. Thanks very much for catching that. It shoots very well. Recoil is very manageable. I tried some light skeet loads with 7.5 shot and then some heavy field loads. It was hard to tell the difference. The ejectors are VERY effective, about a 5 foot range or better!
 
Very nice looking gun. I enjoyed the "play by play". I haven't bought too many BNIB guns. It's a thrill to unpack one.

I probably won't buy too many more BNIB guns. I really wanted a Red Label, But I wanted a life long gun, and didn't want a second hander, so this may be the only BNIB I ever buy. I will never sell this one, and I plan on passing it on to my daughter. Second handers are great too. I bought a Beretta S55 12Ga O/U (http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=522325) for 500$ and it is still tight as ever, and works like a champ!
 
Mine cost $985 new, when they first came out or at least within the first few years, so the $2200 price tag is an eye opener.

I seen your other post about the 20 ga that was doubling. Did you get a new 12Ga? Trust me on this one, you will like it.
