Obviously the full auto version is. But last time I looked into this, pre OICs.... the firearm actually wasnt prohibited by name in Legistlation like AKs, the SVD, FAL etc. So technically if the company produced more semi auto versions those could theoretically enter the country much like the Type 81s did..... however of course there classification would be at the mercy of RCMP interpretation. And if it wasnt listed on the OICs.

Of course this is also a pipe dream.

Technically anyone can make a semi-auto version now as all patents, including the MPS upgrades have long ago since expired.
