Brant Halloween match

The matches at Brant are always worth the time and money. Exellent match especially if you had night sights.

Great match, thanks to everyone who put it on.

Brantshootingsports.com had a table full of nice stuff, and a free draw for a
$140 shooting bag. Hope I win. :D

Really wish I had night sights, and in that low light, I got a Alpha/Charlie on a no shoot. Crap lol

I think your alone in your thoughts or unemployed because the fee was worth the match!
I would shoot it again!

It was totally worth it. I don't see $25 as being unreasonable. Especially since I think alot of work went into this, what with all the Halloween props and decoration. It was a metric tonne of fun. The green/red mood lights made telling the difference between shoot & no-shoot targets pretty hard though. But whatever, it was fun. It was my first time at the Brant range.

I believe you were thinking of the wrong match and when is lunch included. maybe you can join and few then offer an opinion!

The typical match I shoot is around 125 rounds, $20 and includes a lunch. Almost always has 6+ stages. Granted its IDPA, but the discipline doesn't really affect the value behind a match, at least not IMO

Usually when I see a lower round, lower stage match with a fee higher than $20 that doesn't include lunch, I'd just assume go somewhere else.

A High round count doesn't guarantee a quality match (neither does a free sandwich)

Judging by your criteria...I don't think we'll be seeing you at very many IPSC matches...

Which club in Ontario hosts 125rds match for $20 + lunch?
Maybe I should start shooting IDPA

Hmm. Are you going to a competition or to an eatery?

No need to make fun of Onagoth, if club is offering a 125-round match and a free lunch for $20 - it's commendable. Fact that many clubs consider IPSC matched to be a money-making affair is nothing to be proud of.
Now I don't make any statement against clubs making profit on IPSC (and other disciplines) matches, but let's not forget the spirit.

The spirit of all this is: (I'll continue when I can think clearly).

There are lots of them, EESA, Windsor, Trails End, Kingsville, Rondeau, Kent Cloverleaf, thats only a few of them, all of the matches I have shot at these clubs are 90 to 125rd and six stages, sometimes 5, IDPA of course and for 20bucks including lunch how can you go wrong...

I have to agree with Onagath this time, I like to shoot IPSC but I do not see near the value in it for my hard earned money....:D

Eat your words noob.

.... and this is exactly why noobs should spend more time reading, educating themselves, before offering THEIR baseless "opinions". Maybe even get to know who's who before offending the very same people who put their best foot forward and take responsibility for YOU to have a safe day on the range.

Sparkin10 ... how many matches have YOU organized to post such comments? Have you even attended any matches as a competitor?

Onagoth puts on challenging and rewarding IDPA matches in his neck of the woods. He also feeds you. All for a nominal fee that is not going to deter anyone from enjoying their day on the range.
