Anybody shoot it? Was a nice match. Decent layout. People were friendly and they got nice comfy leather chairs. How did everybody do?

I was using a baby eagle, to check out the new sights; it was fine, but pulled a mike on the very first stage I shot (the barricade). Had to reshoot the steel speed shoot, the mini-popper absolutely refused to go down even after a few hits ;) The drop turner was fun, there was enough time (for Prod) to take two static between the activator the the disappearing one, but I played it safe and only shot 1. I should have tried 2 - I was waiting for the drop turner to appear; 3 wouldn't have worked for me. Madness tried all three but pulled a Mike on one of them... One Open shooter got all three. Nice small match, run perfectly on time. Just waiting for the result now - should be a classifer for Production if everyone showed up.

eh so what your telling me is that maybe you botched it abit? And this could be my big chance to move up a few percentage points? Lol! I might finally be C class.

Yeah I think maybe the calibration was off on the popper. I hit it 3 times, till it dropped. 115g Factory 9mm.

hey, just shoot the best you can, and don't worry about the letters, those will catch up to your level in their own time ;) Focus on shooting at that level, not on making it TO that level...

Sooner or later im gonna knock you off the podium Daddy...lol

However I have taken your advice about move fast and shoot slow. Its good advice, it makes a big difference.

There was more then enough time to take two static before the Turner. I shoot all three and still waited a little for the Turner ( I was the one shooting open ) . The match ran smooth and on time as usual for the guys at Branrford , great match.

it was a great little match ! I shot 1 static, not to push my luck.
I had a good run, but shot to quick & sloppy on the targets to the left after the 3 starting ones & dropped 2 mikes , (ya, can you believe I actually could miss)
I had to reshoot the steel stage & I almost refused it & DAM,
I should have  :(

Great match Brant crew !!

cheers,

I thought there was enough time to get all three static before the dropper. I screwed the stage up though by missing the steel on my first shot and having to come back.

good, looks like another Prod classifier (and for those who are interested, both Peterboro and drama daze from last month should/will also be Prod classifiers, they aren't marked as such only because the stats haven't been run for that time period yet, so no need to bother Bud/Julie/etc about it - will happen eventually). ;)

on stage 2, i took over 30 seconds to clear an F#@#@ jam & for some
DUMB reason, I chose to shoot the last steal I left standing.   ...DAAAAAAAAAA !
I lost approx. 25 pts. on that stage alone, plus 2 mikes on stage 4
and still managed 7th overall

Again, I'm glad I made it out for this great little macth, it was a lot of fun to shoot :dancingbanana:

See ya all at the triangle match & good luck & have lots of fun !
I'm shooting Sunday, starting at wentworth

I'm off this friday to go on my first moose hunt north of Thunder Bay &
I'm really excited :D :D

good, but remember, it's the percentage that counts, not the numeric order. Would you rather be 8th at 90% or 4th at 40%? ;)

good point, my percentage was also a bit higher than expected due to my brain freeze

Yeah I got 10th, BTW, Omen I am puzzled as to how you manage such great times? LIke the stage with the barrier, you were all As with a time of like 4.5seconds, this with 16 shots on 8 Classics with movement between targets 1-4 and 5-8? What is your draw speed? .4seconds? Its odd cause when I watch you shoot, you dont seem that much faster...but your times are like more than half mine. Any tips on cutting some time? Ive been getting good results with your move fast shoot slow tips... but wondering where you manage to cut the rest?

Yes, 4.59 seconds was an excellent time for that stage, actually the fastest of all divisions, but that was stage 2 w/ the steel, not stage 1 w/ the barrier, which he did in 10 sec. also, pretty good time. :runaway:

you sure? the score was 40 points? =8 Classics?

Yes, I'm sure.

8 targets x 2 shots each = 16 x 5 pts. = 80 possible points.

only 40 points for a 4 target stage.

He's a good shooter & I respect him for that, but if he did do stage 1 in 4.59 seconds...I'd worship the ground he walked on
