Getting ready to make up a bunch of (1000) M14 rounds using Lake City brass, CCI BR2s, H4895 and 168 TMKs.

Using my Chargemaster and the mcDs straw mod, I was still getting too many over throws, so I decided to try making up a bushing as can be found on EBay for sale.

Overall length is about 0.8" with about 0.2" being the outside collar. Bore is 0.25", Collar OD is about 0.39", Internal section has an OD of about 0.32.

A bit of sanding and she slid in with no problem, added a bit of tape to hold it well in place. Did a test run of 60 throws without a single over charge. No noticeable change in the time it takes to meter out the charge as well. Should save a fair bit of time not having to deal with over scales.

Yup, reduces over-throwing charges by at least an order of magnitude from stock configuration, and considerably better than the drinking straw in my opinion.

thanks DFarmer, I have made these over the years, I use Aluminum, easier to work with and run 20 or so at a time, anyone want one send me a pm, guess I should bump my post for there
