Brass butt plate on long Branch?

Were long Branch Lee Enfields issued with brass butt plates? I've seen several with steel but mine both have brass. I'm just wondering if they are proper with these rifles.

Is it C-broad-arrow marked? If not, then it is not "correct" for a Longbranch. However, Lee Enfields were reworked many times, and some consider any part to be "correct". Having said that, a Longbranch should have a black steel butt-plate for the factory correct configuration.

Or a die cast Zamak (zinc alloy) buttplate.

"...mine both have brass..." Put there by the assembling monkies. Check the headspace, but don't worry about the butt plate.
