Buck a round. Best I have seen. I can find American Eagle most places but it ain't cheap. I found some earlier this year on sale for under 75 cents a round and bought all there was.

Budget shooter has the brass only for $32./50! A bit pricey but there ya go, could get a better deal if you buy 500 or 1000 maybe!

I know that there's some Yugo surplus 7.62x39 with brass cases and a 124gr copper FMJ over lead core which is currently for sale in the US. Whether or not any is coming to Canada is anybody's guess.

On the down side, they are "Berdan primed & are corrosive" (USD $339/1120 cartridges)

Back in the days of yore I sold a buddy an SKS and a case of maybe 500 rounds of brass cased, boxer soft nose ammo. I think it is Privi, but not sure. Anyway, I bought the rifle and all but two or three boxes back last year. I also have a stash of new brass that I bought years back, before cheap surplus was readily available. Things sure do change when you are not looking, eh?
