Hi fellas..I have some brass that is new and never been fired..they look pretty bad in spots, like they have some oxidzation or dark blotches on them..they are smooth to the touch, and I have tried polishing with 000 steel wool, but nothing has taken it off....they will be fine to shoot I would think, but I am looking for some way to clean them up or make them look a little better...maybe I could just die them a different clour....LOL
Any thoughs or tips or recipes would be great would be great:D

Lyman makes a great case cleaner. Put the cases into a small container, pour the stuff on them and leave them for a few minutes. Pour off the cleaner, and rinse the cases in warm water.
I was really impressed how well this stuff works.

I have a similar RCBS product, which is basically an acidic solution that removes tarnish, powder residue, etc. This product is a concentrate so you mix it a small amount with water. Really makes the brass a bright natural color again. You don't want to leave them in it for long as it can eat away at the brass if left. As with the Lyman product you must rinse well with warm water after. Uou can use the solution over and over again, but it must be mixed, and stored in a "plastic" container. I usually tumble the brass after for that extra smooth shine.

Don't forget to remove the primers before soaking!

just rub them down with plain old white vinegar. It's cheap and non toxic. Wipe them with a damp old towel afterwards and a wee bit of light oil to keep the shine. Keep ALL oil away from primer pockets and interrior.
