Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone happened to know of a source for brass crown lapping tools in Canada. Everything I've found is from the states and will cost an arm and a leg to have brought up, and I can't even seem to find and round headed brass machine screws anywhere. I am looking to clean up the crown on my Norinco .45acp 1911 in an effort to wring some accuracy out of it, I already have an egw bushing on the way that I will be fitting to the pistol.

Thanks in advance.

I've bought the material and given it to a vocational school with a drawing for a machine shop project?

Fastener speciality shop supplying boat builders?

Hobby machinist with a lathe?

Toilet bowl bolts....

A little tougher because it's a .45, you need something fairly large.
You could try going to your local scrap/recycling yard and look in the brass drums. If you found something suitable I'm sure they'll charge you next to nothing for it.
