Check out Curtton's modification of an SKS shell deflector, complete with instructions on where to bend. It can be found in VZ58: Optics, sights & mounts, see link below. This is what it looks like when attached.

I guess I'll settle with modding a SKS deflector for now and see if I can track down an NEA one.

I am also waiting for the NEA deflector as I do have concerns over the SKS deflector scratching the finish on my rifle since it is all steel.

That's what I just did. Got the SKS deflector off Ebay for $10, took less than 5 minutes to do the Curtton mod to it, blasted it with some spray paint, works great.

Interammo has the Czech deflector. I had it for a year works perfect. It installs on the scope base
