Just learned bad news; no more brass or any other reloading component from US without import/export licence. I was inquiring about 45 LC brass, phoned Starline and learned this. Phoned others, they confirmed the same. I am just wandering how much the brass is going to cost here in Canada now? Wouldn’t be surprised if some folks take advantage of the situation and drive prices thru the roof.

when did this come in to law.

This has been in effect for quite a while, although just started to really be enforced after 9/11.

If the proper permits for cases coming out of the U.S. are not obtained, then the seller is breaking U.S. law and is open to prosecution and LARGE monetary fines. (just ask Midway U.S.A.)

Also CGN policy is that the Import/Export laws of both Canada AND the U.S. MUST be followed when posting on this site.

So if you are getting your brass into Canada from the U.S. without obtaining the proper permits, The CGN site DOES NOT want to see you posting about it.

Suspension or permanet expulsion from the site mat occur if the policy is not followed.

So for the LAST TIME, those who like to get components off of E-Bay, KEEP THIS TO YOURSELF!!!

SKBY.

Or seize the opportunity and manufacture cases for the rest of the world!
