I use white ice cream containers (20L?) for 9mm dirty brass.
I use clear containers from cdn tire to store cleaned brass. They hold 3000 9mm brass in the large (9L) and 2000 brass in the small (6L), and are stackable of course. They have a lid with three white 'O's on the top. They go on sale for $1 each quite often as part of a 10 pack. It's currently called a KIS 10-Pack Clear Shoebox, 6L Product #199-2950-4.
The only time they have broken has been on my part by either dropping them, or hitting them with something. Mostly the lids will crack if man-handled.
For rifle hunting calibers that I only have a few hundred brass for, I separate them with ziplock bags in the clear tubs.
