I acquired some Hornady brass to reload for one particular rifle of mine.

I weight and checked dimensional measurements , nothing seems different between the two.

Has anybody found a difference between their "match" stamped brass and their regular brass, not stamped?

I am thinking just a label to help sell.

Just guessing here but closer inspection on components including: precision weighed powder, bullets checked for weight, concentricity, uniform jacket, cases drawn to exacting specifications.

Edited to add: sorry thought you were talking about match grade ammo, not just the cases.

I have a bunch of Hornady .308 brass from various sources. I called them about it and was told they only have one spec for brass and they should all be identical- match or no match. The truth is that they contract manufacture brass- so headstamps are not always consistent. At one point I did get a deal on 100 new cases- they were all from the same lot and within a few grains (and happened to be labelled "match"). I have others that are significantly heavier and some that are much lighter, so I just separate what I have into "light, regular and heavy" groups and haven't thought about it much since...
