Thanks for all replies
I did´t say all in the first post because I wanted all opinions so objective as possible. This rifle did not behave like this before. It started after this changes:
- National Match gas cylinder.
- National Match spring guide.
- Lower scope mount (don´t remember the name)
- Badger medium hight 30 mm scope rings.
- Adjustable Gas Plug.
What I have thought about at first is that this is caused by a to fast recoil. The bolt slams forward BEFORE the empty brass is cleared. When it is stuck it sits real hard and I have to use some force to pull the op-rod backwards. My gas plug causes a to high preassure. On the other hand I can´t find a point where it reloades and also ejects the brass properly. However, it ejects differently. Sometimes +1 yards and the next round 1 feet.
Take a look at this picture:
This shows the bottom of the knobs (side) cower for the scope. Can you see the brass marks? I guess that the brass hits there and then can´t fly as they should. Then the bolt comes forward = problems.
The scope mount is low and short. The front scope ring is "fat" as well. Perhaps it also hits the brass on it´s way out. There are full of brass marks on it but I cant tell what kind - the shell gets stuck there when it jamms.
My plan is to go to the range and shoot 50 rounds without the scope and mount. If it still occure = new spring, plunger etc.
No problems without new springs then I try with the mount only. If this causes the problem = new and higher scope mount.
And is the low scope and fat rings the reason = higher scope mount.
Right?
