where is everyone getting their brass and powder in the GTA area? This newb can't find any and would totally appreciate some help. Thanks

Listing what calibers your after might help...

I'm going to assume pistol calibers, in which case I built my empire by buying factory and a few lots on the equipment exchange. For powder i got mine before all this crap shortage stuff. You'll just have to call various stores and check.

Call Cabela in Barrie or Le baron in Mississauga... Barrie had bunch of powder when I was there on Friday. If all fails I can spare a bottle varget to get you started. PM if you don't find any.

Oh sorry, I'm new to this. I'm reloading .308 win.

Check out Rouge river arms, bass pro, Lebaron, gagnon, sail, Williams arms, and a many others. Check out the sponsors above for what your looking for.

Decide what bullet weight/type your wanting to reload and see what powders can be used. That's your shopping list when calling or going to stores.

Are you after hunting or just plinking type loads?

Thanks guys, right now I'm just going to be shooting paper at about 200 yards.

Le Barons is supposed to be getting a powder order in the first week or two of March. The bulk order gets sent to the Montreal warehouse from the US and is then distributed to all the stores. I already have my name in for a bunch at the Ottawa store. The list the Ottawa store had showed WW748 and CFE223 which will both work for 308. There was also H4831 and Titegroup but those aren't suitable for 308. I only remember those 4 because those are the ones I put my name down for.

Budget Shooter Supply (site sponsor up top) got in a bunch of mixed 308/7.62 once-fired brass. I think it was around $250/1000? I don't know if there is any left. It's a decent price; new brass is around $.50/piece for common stuff (Federal, Remington, Winchester, etc.) and premium stuff is closer to $1/piece (Lapua, Norma, etc.) and once-fired is usually worth about half new so the price makes sense.
