Brass "Specks" on reloaded ammo?

So I started reloading pistol ammo today. Been reloading rifle ammo on a single stage for awhile.

So after some load development and function checks at the range I loaded 1000 rounds of 45acp 230gr Campro FN TMJ in Fiocchi USA brass.

I noticed the loaded ammo is covered in specks of brass, cant see it by looking at it but after handling the ammo my hands are covered in them, just wondering if this is normal or ?

Its a dillon 550b with Dillon Carbide dies, using two sprays of RBCS case slick per a bag of 500 brass.

Specs of brass is unusual. Any way to figure where in the reloading process they are being generated/introduced?

Best guess is a die or process is generating shavings of some kind.

I'm not sure where there coming from, I didn't notice any untill they were in the completed round tray so maybe the crimp die? But I'm only puting on a real light crimp so I wouldn't think so. My thoughts are that its the FL sizing die?

My Acro bin always has the fine brass particles you are talking about. LoadMaster & XL650. Pretty sure it is coming from the crimp. No cause for concern.

It's from the crimp die, and it's very common.

It's more obvious if you are using new or fully processed brass (trimmed to length)

Run a cleaning patch up through the crimp die...you can see where the brass "dust" is building up.

Looked into better and it is indeed coming from the crimp die, I assume that as the pistol brass gets fired a few more times and gets shorter this "brass specs" will stop or become less common?

I get it with my .223 ammo when I use the RCBS neck sizing die as there is more tension (when I seat the bullet) that with the LEE full length sizing die.
