Anybody up for this? The idea behind it is replace the 1 or 2 pieces of brass that you lost at a match, cracked or dented beyond repair, specific head stamp etc.
I load in multiples of 50, brass comes in 50/100, bullets the same, so if you are anal like me it's a ##### when you only have 49 brass....
Cost to ship 1-2 brass would be $3 or so including the padded envelope, and should be done on the pay it forward principal.
Thought if this the other day when I found 1 piece of Lapua .308 with blue marker all over the head...bet that guy was pissed he lost that. And what the hell am I going to do with one piece of it?
Then I remembered I've been trying to find 1 piece of Win 284 beasd for about a decade... Lol
So what do you think?

I think it is a poor idea.

First, there is no real functional difference between 49 rounds and 50. Unless you have OCD and he sight of an empty place in the box bothers you, it makes no difference.

But more importantly, if accuracy matters (I have a lot of 50 round boxes of 308 ammo, and inside the lid is a note of the case weight of that box - the brass is weighed and sorted to the tenth of a grain) then adding a stray case would be a disaster. Not only would the case be from a different lot #, but it would have been fired a different # of times. I would never want to fire such an oddball case, on score, in a string of shots.

You weigh and sort your brass to 1/10 of a grain?
