I'm looking for a vibratory tumbler, hopefully used and reasonablly priced. Anybody know of one available, or a good place to look? I'm in mainland NS
 
Budget is tight, but its the last tool I need to complete my set-up. If I could, I'd like to be able to get set up with the tumbler, and media for under 100$

Last year, I finally replaced my LYMAN "TURBO 1300" after close to 40 years service and thousand's of hours running time . The replacement had a slightly smaller sized Bowl, but I used the old Bowl, and back in business, for a shade over the $100 Taxes included......... Lyman are really good when it comes to Warranty. They replaced the center post/bolt and nut assembly at no cost after I'd B..... the old one ! A combination of wear and cross threading. ...... David K
 
MidSouth Shooters sells a "SmartReloader" tumbler for as little as $23.50. Dunno how good they are. They offer name brands too, many for under $70.00.

Frankford Arsenal makes a good one, right around 80? I've got two, they've both had the piss shaken out of them with thousands of rounds and just keep shakin!
 
I've got the light little plastic Frankford Arsenal, and although it works, I don't use it much. It's kinda loud, low capacity, and likes to dance a bit because of its lightness. It was cheap to buy though.

Now I mainly use my Thumler's Tumbler Ultra-Vibe 18. It's about 5 times heavier than the Frankford, and has at least twice the capacity. It's solid, quiet, and just purrs like a kitten when it's on. It's also properly sealed with rubber when you screw down the lid. No (lead) dust particles escape when it's on. It did cost a bit more, but in this case at least you really do get what you paid for.
 
picked up a small rock tumbler kit at toys r us today.45 bucks,6 bucks for a 15 month extended warranty.already had the corn cob pet litter.will hold around 30 222,223 cases.will let you know how it works.

here are a couple of 222 rem brass,the before and after tumbling.the one on left is before the other one is after.ran the tumbler all night with just corn cob media.at noon today i added some nu finish polish and 2 hours later they looked like the one on the right.when i added the polish they still looked like the before pics with 14 hours with dry media.
