Brass vs Nickel

The nickel ones are just plated, it's still brass underneath. There's probably some slight difference in case capacity, but not more or less than between two brass cases from different manufacturers.

Personally, I load both interchangeably. I just finished loading a batch of 200 9mm, there were a few dozen nickel-plated cases in there, I've never noticed a difference.

I reload nickle the same as brass. No issues. The nickle is supposed to help with extraction and is found on a lot of JHP ammo and gimmicky premium hunting ammo. Available new for reload as well if you wanna ad some bling to your loads.

:agree: True Dat! Even when sizing .357 nickel cases in a carbide die they feel much slicker vs. plain old brass. Obviously nickel plated brass is less prone to tarnishing, and this is the number one reason I use it in the field.
I use plain old brass for any and all range work.

Mad Mikey :p
