First off, I know that reloading rimfires is a non-issue; esp. as most of us (quite rightly) seldom pull bullets on our rimfire ammo...

;)

Anyhow, I was wondering if there was a convenient distributor for a 10/22 -compatible brasscatcher, if only to stop there from being too severe a mess after some over-enthusiastic plinking. Rimfire Sports doesn't seem to have it listed.

Thanks in advance.

I do the odd drive by on gophers and hate having brass bouncing off the windshield and dash. I was going to make one out of an aquarium fish net and just bend it and cut it to length to fit under the scope and over the receiver and probably cover the metal with some kind of shrink wrap or electrical tape so it can't scratch the finish.

yea i'm shooting my .22s from the patio since theres snow on the ground and a brass catcher would be convenient. Was thinking about trying to make one with magnets and something

Magnets don't work on brass.
Make a brass catcher out of the lower part of the leg of pantyhose and light iron haywire. tape it to the receiver with electrical tape. It only has to protrude to the side about 2" then have about six inches hanging down. put a 3" sealer lid ring in the toe to keep it open.
Electrical tape is inexpensive, and it cleans off with brake clean.

Don't you just hate it when they fall down the defrost vents?:):p

i think he might have meant a way to attach to the actual gun so that you don't have to use clamps or tape. you could probably make one that works semi universally if you use many small magnets so that it can wrap around different contours.

Kinda like the magnets in the seal on a fridge door??

Magnets won't work on the aluminum reciever of a 10-22 either.
