Brasso or Nu-Car Finish

Meguiars Deep Crystal polish is what I use. The brass looks good and feels slippery(die friendly). I've heard thats whats in the dillon brass polish bottle, don't know if its true or not but it works. I also use a 4 to 1 ratio of corncob and walnut shell. My tumble hold 6 lbs of media.

I have used brasso, but eventually found the media would bung up and not do a proper job of polishing. Now I use nothing and brass is nice and clean, and media lasts longer. Tuff nut (red) is what I'm using.

Go to a shop that sells sandblasting supplies and buy a 50lb bag of ground walnut shell. ( I paid $35 ). Works great and 50 lbs will last many many years. BTW I do not add anything to it and it works fine with regular polishing. For really dirty brass add Nu finish

I use brasso, the results are great. Have to tumble the media for quite a while to dry it out though, otherwise it does get bunged up pretty good.

If I said it once, I said it a thousand times....
NUFINISH! :D

Brasso has ammonia and is more expensive.
Feel free to correct me though.:nest:

You guys have got my interest peaked. Although I have no concerns about brasso affecting the brass, I might try this Nufinish I keep hearing about. Perhaps next time I changed out my media.
