I use just the walnut shells. It gives me clean brass which is all want, I don't care how shiney it is.

Some people are just insane...your brass doesn't have to look like burnished gold to be effective. As Doc said, it needs to be CLEAN not SHINY, and i would worry about polishes leavign junk inside the case that would adversely effect proper ignition and burning (especially nu finish, filmy stuff, that...). What's the point anyway? Reloading is supposed to be cheap, right? so why add more cost just to make your brass extra shiny. It's not impressing anyone (or it shouldn't). Spend all the extra time and the extra cash on loadign MORE ROUNDS and SHOOTING more. Scores are more impressive in my book.
