I have a Brazilian Mauser Mod. 1935 that I would like to sell. I'm not sure on the price that I want to sell it at.The condition of it is very good and it was in a safe for some time. I have a person that wants to purchase it ,and he is willing to give me $300.00 for it.Would this be a good price for it or not? If anyone can give me so info, that would be great. Here are the pics. I hope they are bright enough. Also, the serial # all match.

IMHO, that's a very low price unless it's in just very average condition, mismatched and seen a lot of wear. It could be worth twice that or more, but condition and "all matching" is everything.

1935 Brazilian Mauser (Mfg by Mauser-Werke A.G. Oberndorf a/N.) ...... click herehttp://imageevent.com/badgerdog/brazilianservicerifles/1935brazilianmauser6894

"Unfired, all matching serial numbers, including bayonet and scabbard"

I'm not in the market for one, as I already have the one above in my Mauser collection, but if me some pics via email and I'll give you my opinion as to a reasonable valuation......

We'll wait to see it in the EE. Nice rifle, it is not going to depreciate if you keep it. Only danger is the longer you keep it the more likely it is you will discover it is something you don't want to part withLOL>

They don't often go for that much in Eastern Canada unless they are Mint/unfired. If you could post pics that would be a great help in judging condition. If you can't, use the NRA guidelines for condition.
Nice rifle! Definitly a steal at $300.

unless its a good friend 300 is way too low imo.if its a really good friend well maybe i dont have any friends that good

Very pretty gun. Worth a pile more than $300, but there's only one way to find out just how much more........

well, if he will give you $300, i will give you $301 in a heartbeat.

these are very nice rifles. a lot of them have matching numbered bayonets as well.

Agreed. Any 35 Obie or 1908 in fantastic condition is a $700+ rifle in my view.

Hell, a top gunsmith would give you $300 for JUST THE RECEIVER. 35 Obies are the cat's ass as a donor action for insanely expensive custom hunting rifles. H&H uses them as a base receiver routinely.

If that were my rifle, I'd ask $1000 to start and drop the price by $100 every 7 days until it sells. Someone who wants it will pounce at the right moment not to lose the rifle. The 35's are even more uncommon these days than the earlier 1908's because so many were hacked for their superb actions back in the 80's. Just ask Tiriaq or Bill Leepers ;)

The 1908 and 1935 are about equal in quality, but the 1935's had the benefit of 27 years of metallurgical advancements in alloy composition and heat treating/annealing so you can do bigger calibers on them without additional heat treatment(s).

Cool rifle! Thanks for sharing!

EDIT TO ADD: These 35's are on a par with, if not ahead of, 1909 Argentine Mausers in terms of desireability IMHO. These finely made south American Mausers from Argentina and Brazilian contracts are only surpassed by people who pursue the "vet bringback" K98k in terms of collectability :)
