Brazilian Mauser Model 1908 in detail.

Alan lever had 2 different batches from Brazil in the factory shipping boxes.
The first were by Mauser made before WW1.
The second batch were by FN made between the wars.

I've got no idea where you live, but I live in Toronto, where there are no good guns around.
 
asking price is always around $1200 plus.
a good deal would be $800.
even if you settle in between it's still a good deal IMO. :)

Not exactly sure why many of the South American countries specified receivers and bolts "in the white". A lot of the early Mausers, including German issue were like this. I guess you have to consider military doctrine of the time? What ever the reason, they are fine looking rifles.
 
I knew little of contract Mausers until a short while ago. Was interested in 30-06 re-chamberings as a shooter, which expanded to other models from there. Yours looks to be in such good condition and a nice original example. They're great guns.

I think it atarted with the 1871 Mauser, they had actions in the white, right up through the GEW98 of WW1 fame. For some reason the 1888 Commision rifle had a blued receiver but they weren't a Mauser design really.
