I had my barrel threaded at a machine shop and installed a Fabarm breaks (from The shooting Edge in Calgary). I believe their design is suitable for breaching, but I have never done any breaching with a Fabarm, in fact I have never even shot a Fabarm. I thought the break might reduce recoil and muzzle climb. If there is a difference, I can't notice it; perhaps someone with more experience who shoots shotguns more regularly than I do might notice a difference. If nothing else, it still has a certain psychological intimidation factor.

Anyone use a Fabarm for breaching?

I too would like to pick up some door breaching rounds if anyone knows where they can be purchaced.

I'm not LE or Mil but having built up a tactical 870 and reading up on breaching I thought I may try it on some old doors at the farm someday.... Reality being its not a skill I plan on ever needing..... But neither is IPSIC or western re-enactments either. Oh well....

LE and Mil training is open to civilians. You can aquire all the material needed online. The only thing is, is that you need to practice it somewhere. You may need these skills one day, don't sell yourself short.

the explosives and weapons forum is excellent, I would avoid posting there, mainly use it as a lurking resource, keep in mind the moderation on that board has a zero tolerance policy for members messing around.
