Is there anything out there that wasn't made in the 1800's?

I think having a break action revolver would be fun as hell, but I can't for the life of me find anything made/designed within the last 60 years.

Webley's Enfields, a whole pile of Saturday night specials. anything from 22's to 454's. a lot of the break actions are 32 S&W and 38 S&Ws.

Uberti is making a modern copy of the Schofield revolvers. h ttp://www.uberti.com/firearms/top_break.php I can't think of any other newly made break-tops handguns except for a couple of different single shots. For older guns there are the original S&W's, Webleys, High Standards, H&R's and a few others.

H&R made some fairly nice break action revovlers in .22 and possibly some other calibers during the 1960 and 1970's back before they went belly up. There's a few other .22 revolvers as well. Astra is one that shows up fairly regularly but I don't think it has quite as good a rep as the H&R.

A larger caliber that is still currently available is the Uberti replica of the S&W Model 3.

What don't you like about the swing out cylinder hand ejector style S&W's and Rugers?

Also the Beretta Laramie. Slightly improved over the original as it has a transfer bar, so all 6 chambers can be loaded w/o danger. Unfortunately, it's the most expensive of the lot- around $1000 US I think.
