Breaking in a new Sako 85 SS 7mm08 while developing a pet load for it,,,suggestions?

I don't know if break in is necessary or not but I do know this. I cleaned the barrel on my brand new Tikka right out of the box and I got a lot of black crap and grit out of it. Im glad I cleaned it before shooting.
