Bren with 100rd drum

If you had the mags it would dam near be worth building a gun that took them just to be able to shoot 100rd mags again.

One of the few magazines we're allowed to have unpinned and full capacity. Good luck finding one.

Are the Lewis magazines the same way ??

Neat for sure but absolutely outclassed by the German MG34/42.

Never understood the mag on the top thing, offset sights, blocked sight picture??

But the Bren I handled was built like a tank and heavy as hell certainly built for the long run just not a gunners dream.

It's for a different role. It is more important to have belt-fed medium machine guns, but once you have that covered, a magazine fed light MG is better for some tasks, and the Bren is very good for that.
