Hiyas,

I know a bunch of you guys swear by these, I was looking over on the web to find out a little more about them. Turns out they make a couple kinds of slugs... which ones do you use? and can they be used in a rifled barrel? I'm trying to find a cheaper alternative than the remington ultra bonded...

Another question is where can I get these in the Montreal area? I would love to give em a try.

Thanks!

I have no idea how they work in rifled bbl's, my only experience has been with a 20" smoothbore. Is there still a LeBaron in Montreal, that would be my first try. As for the choice I have settled on the 1 3/8 oz 3" magnum variety.

I know alot of people love the brenekes, especially over the challengers, etc. Same people say the challengers are more accurate, but the brenekes perform better when hitting the target. I dont think the brenekes are meant for a rifled barrel, but I could be wrong. Heck, I know a couple of guys who shoot challenger slugs through a rifled barrel, and some who shoot sabot slugs through a smooth barrel and have no problems with accuracy etc, but those are the types of friends I just shake my head at. I have sighted in with challengers, in a smooth barrel with a scope, and seems fairly accurate for me, as far as performance on a deer, how much more of a hole does one need than a half inch hole. Perhaps this summer I will try a box of brenekes to see what groups I can achieve.
