Aesthetics are one of the most important things about this rifle. It's FAL-like, so I'm putting a set of Daniel Defense fixed AR sights on it, dropping the stock to a lower picatinny slot, and running a TAPCO FAL AR15 grip, as soon as my gun gets here from Uxbridge. That and a faux suppressor to cover the silly barrel.

Given that these already have restricted and non restricted FRT numbers are any stores bringing in SBRs? My non restricted 223 semi already got banned so I’m not interested in another 18.5 barrel, more interested in 14.5 or 10-12 inch barrels, do these use ar15 barrels? Can I bring in a 16 inch one and swap down to a 14.5 or 12?

Irunguns has been bring in Restricted Makasi rifles for a while now. Since it appears to just be an AR barrel absolutely nothing stopping you from going shorter.
 
I just talked with my dealer this morning. She said that the distributor keeps moving the receipt date back. Last she heard now, it is November for the NRs ones. I thought I'd ask her about my Carmel order too and it looks like Restricteds coming in soon, but mine would be an NR, so looks like I'll be waiting longer. Still, it is an exciting time finally getting something half decent that I can shoot with pride.

My assumption was always that the existing orders of the 12inch would be fulfilled first then the 15inch versions would come in. Was hard to believe the October / November ETA N.S. provided to vendors

I know the risks, I ve got bit in the ass many time, that doesn’t dissuade me though from buying stuff

I do have one of these on preorder as well but I know how my luck goes…

You never know. Maybe something good comes out of the Supreme Court ruling that makes us all rejoice and get to keep our property.

I'm not holding my breath but it is a possibility.
