Bring back open sights

I currently have a 110yr old 1894 in 38-55 and a BSA Martini competition(?) No 8 with old Marbles peeps. The BSA shoots surprisingly well and I have just begun to learn the sight use. The Winnie shoots well out to 100m too so I am thinking of making up some silhouettes for the BSA to play with. Both have really decent irons and I would not change anything. Nearly 200yrs of history in those 2 rifles so anything past a tang site for the 38-55 would be sacrilege. Kinda fun actually. Scopes can get to be boring after a while. Put 3 CCI Minimags into the same hole at 25m with the BSA last week to see if the boresight had helped. My newish(to me) Henry Golden Boy has surprisingly good sights on it too.
