Bringing primers across the border from the US to Canada

I work at the airport and saw a USCBP officer walking around. I asked him about bringing in primers from us to Canada and he asked if I would be going through montana and I replied sure, I asked if I needed any paperwork or anything and he said no your fine to cross as long as Canada accepts it.

So take that with a grain of salt but that is what I was told today by them

The people that will be stopping you as you leave the USA for Canada, will likely be Homeland Security , so it's their interpretation that really matters.

What all is required to get a mailing address in a border town? Just go to post office and request one? I assume there's a charge for this?

You can set it up online, just look online for a mail forwarding company and set one up.
You don't ever have to use it, but you have to have it.
