Thanks for making all this info available. I recently won a beretta brx1 in 300wm in a raffle. Before that I've only owned a shotgun. Now I have the feeling I should trade this in before I do my 1st deer hunt this fall. Much appreciated!
Good write up. I think newbies (and most of us) focus on caliber way more than we should. I would say a rifle that fits you well in any of the most popular calibers is the "right" rifle. I will be sharing this post for sure.
