British 303?

Do you hunt? Do you already have a good hunting rifle?

Your 303 would make an excellent back, up/bad weather, loaner rifle.

If there is a heavy snow falling that keeps covering your scope, that 303, zeroed with the large battle sight aperture, is the perfect bad weather rifle. Take the forend off and seal the inside of the wood with urethane, Tung Oil or floor wax.

To zero it, you may have to change the front sight to a different height.

Buddy gave me the Weaver base for the scope and rings. Can't find the rear peep sight anywhere.

I have maybe 8 hunting rifles now. The 303 thing is I have two Mauser's, two SKS so I "need" a couple 303s.

I'm looking for the micrometer rear sight if someone wants to part with one.

Well - It may turn out that the rear sight was removed to accommodate a two piece Parker Hale base system. (One base replaces the rear sight, the other screws onto the receiver ring.) You'll find out quick enough when you try to mount the T-01, as the hole centres are likely different.

Yes - You do need another 303. I suggest a BSA sported P-14. Then you'll quickly realize how superior the 303's are to a silly Mauser.:)
