Yeah, strange that - I can't figure out why the US DOS doesn't want one of it's primary component contractors to sell weapons to the Azerbaijanis, it's not like they're a bunch of Islamist Extremists or anything.

I have one and really the only difference between it and the Norc or some of the other lower end units is the safety lever. To put the gun on safe you need to move the lever all the way to the back to where (Auto) would be on a full automatic M16. I changed out the safety for a normal one and it runs as every other ar-15 that I have. I would say that it is on par with a Norc, runs and runs and runs with out FTE or FTF problems.

I believe the rifles are made in asia as well. I've heard Vietnam mentioned but can't confirm.

No Way, i have one, and my IDS lower is identical to my colt ar-15. exactly the same.
