So just curious with the draw being run soon, and results available >>>here<<< after the 30th of June, I was just curious what you put in for?

I put in for Mountain Goat, Mule Doe and Moose.

Have not won anything in the last 5 years. So maybe something this year. We'll see.

Cheers & good luck.

Alex

bull moose, doe,cow elk and bison i hope i get somthing this year, may the leh gods be with me and good luck to the rest of you.

Bison?

Where do you live dude. My buddy got a bison draw 2 years ago and it was a $3000 hunting trip. (not to mention the butcher and booze charges).

The odds on bison are pretty dim so it's mostly a once in a life time thing.

Not knocking you, just curious if there is a feasible way of getting up into those regions in the winter and not blowing my x-mas bonus on a "local, non gided" hunt?

edited to add: Oh, you're in PG, so half way there, shouldn't be too bad on gas. :)

exactly once in a life time thing, might as well start trying as soon as possiable right? my dads buddy burl has 4 big snowmobiles so ifwe ever get it we will take those, no matter how much it will cost me in everything but gas cuz thats the way my dad is , it would be fun as hell and a great experience.

Oh..........

So you have snow mobiles and a free ride up there. Good luck in the draw then. :)

The usual, Bison, Elk, Moose, Sheep [Kamloops lake] muley doe. Already got the bison 5 years ago, so not likely to draw again, but I've been a lucky SOB in the draws, so who knows? Regards, Eagleye.

I only put in for Bull Moose. I thought about Bison, but I probably wouldn't be able to get away from work, so I decided not to bother...in case I actually got it. Same with Kamloops area Sheep.

Tags for every game animal in BC except for Bison and Grizzly bears can be bought "over-the-counter" for at least one zone in the province.

The draws are designed to allow hunting of populations in certain areas that could not withstand a general open season. Moose in the region I live in are a good example. While we have plenty of them we are located within 5 hours of the Greater Vancouver area. A general open season would result in nothing but a circus. Doe deer - both flag-tails and mulies - are also specifically managed through the draw system in most zones. In this case it is used as a management tool to lower specific populations in small geographical areas without enduring the aforementioned circus. ;)

As for my daughter and myself we both put in for local mulie does and moose. Work is so hectic that even if I did draw something more exotic I probably wouldn't have time to go hunt them.
