British Short gun

Recently got an odd percussion shotgun. Just a single barrel shotgun 24 inch barrel around 14 gauge. VERY LIGHT less than 6 lbs. An English guy I know called it a short gun or perhaps a coach gun. Looks to have Birmingham proofs, marked London on top of barrel. No markings on lock other than a little engraving. Never saw one quite like it usually fowlers will have 32 to 36 inch barrel. Any comments?

I think the gun was stocked up using available parts. The photo of the muzzle, with rib and ramrod pipe indicate the barrel was shortened.
Lock was originally flint, but not in that stock.
Birmingham gunmakers rarely if ever used drums when setting up a percussion gun. The lock does not fit closely to the drum.
No indication that the gun was stocked up recently; it was assembled quite some time ago. Someone wanted a short, light gun and available parts were used.
