Brno, not CZ. ZKK-602 Stock is not walnut. Has the set trigger.

My late Dad bought it new around the late '80's. Low shot count. He didn't hunt, just enjoyed bench rest with it for a few seasons. Recoil didnt phase him. It still looks like off the store rack. NOT shopping it here, a family friend inquired but I'm not up on prices for it these days. (Have other stuff i need to start listing on the EE). Anyone out there with a Blue book ? I really need to invest in one.

From the 32nd issue of the BBof Gun Values page489.
CZ ZKK 602 375 H&H 100%- $675, 90%-$450 last MSRP was $799.
Yes, I can hear you and have read that it is a Brno, but again from the BBGValues 32nd Edition page 368 it says :
ZKK 602please refer to the CZ listing in this text for current information... yahhda yahhda yahhda.
Those are US Dollar figures and outdated .
Starting at a purple ?Canadian Bill for the Brno with set trigger might sell pdq or it might not.
Dependant on the province it is for sale in and whether Grizzly Bear Hunting is allowed...
Yes, I know BC banned the hunt 2 years ago now so that hurt the market some, but the Yukon might have a calling.
I am sure someone more knowledgeable will chime in sooner than later.
Ardent maybe has some thoughts.

“Stock is not walnut” ? Was it changed? As far as I know the factory stock for both regular and ‘deluxe’ ZKK models were walnut ... and usually very nice walnut once you removed their crappy varnish finish. These rifles are very accurate (even better then their test targets) as I found with my 375. Which I have used for deer hunting...... and my experience was a lot less bloodshot meat on a deer with the 375 than a 243 would create. I dont think they are a practical gopher gun but perfectly fine for deer, moose, bear (all types) ...

I remember him buying it new. He was into Brno before Brno/CZ was cool. It's just much lighter than what I'm used to seeing in walnut. Well....maybe it is.

That IS walnut ... and VERY nice grained circassian walnut that you find on most of the ZKK rifles ... BUT as I said earlier about the ugly factory varnish finish hiding nice wood your dad obviously took the time to strip the miserable 'varnish' that BRNO used to hide their wood under. Does it have a separate forend tip? If yes .. i was a 'deluxe' model .. if not .. no ... although it appears to be a monte carlo stock (so deluxe) ... Deluxe or Standard ... very little difference in value ... I have both and frankly prefer the straighter more classic lines of the standard ... but its individual taste. They are both quite fine.

These are darn good rifles with a drop magazine to handle 5 big belted rounds and a number of other desireable features too long to go into right now. BTW thats excellent grain for a hard recoiling rifle

A little more Brno #### while we're at it. Just tablet pics. Sold it. It'll look great propped up against a clean moose kill this fall, I'm sure.

It's a late model, mid 80's I would guess as the front sling swivel is not on the barrel but the stock.
I'm not sure exactly when they changed this, all I know is all my 602's made before 1978 have the barrel ban front swivel, and my guns made in the 80's did away with this and went to a normal front swivel on the wood stock.
I would sell to a family friend for $1000, but I see nice ones sell around $1400.
Your dad had good taste, ivshoot my big bored off the bench too :)
