Picked up the rifle from one of sellers on EE, mounted a Bushnell Legend Scope (5-15x40) using CZ mounts/rings. Shot about 200 rounds thru it @ranges between 25 - 50 yds

Brno #4 (456) .22lr (Czech Made in 1957)
Caliber: .22 LR
Weight: ~ 10 lbs
Barrel hammer forged, heavy ~ 27"

Scope/Mounts:
Bushnell Legend Scope (5-15x40) w/ Mildots (Made in Philipines)
-Clear and Bright view
-Adjustments have positive and light feel to them
-Lots of eye relief
-Very combarable to Elite 3200 and Nikon Buckmaster range of scopes



The good:
-Accuracy (overal good groups - it was cool, windy day (9C))
-Very ergonomic, well balanced with a solid stock, feels very heavy
-Slick bolt operation, very smooth
-No muzzle or recoil movt

Nice #4 , I've got one as well. They are tack drivers.


If yours is anything like mine , it doesn't like a dirty barrel, I cleaned mine up really well with the brass and hoppes and kept swabbing it till the swabs came out clean.

Now with Eley Traget Ammo which is not real expensvie my 10 round 5 shot groups at 50 metres average less than .350. It will easily shot under a dime.

I find it amazing a rifle over 50 yrs old shots so well still.
 
Thanks for the review. I am convinced that I will be getting the same scope to replace my 3x9x40.
