I've never actually tried it but I understand it can be done and works well. I'm a little reluctant to do so as 444 brass can be a little hard to obtain at times. A big reason is that 303 Br. is so plentiful and its an simple task to fireform into 7x57R. Besides, what ever 444 brass I can get my hands on I keep for my Marlin 444S.
