I have a CZ 452 2E ZKM 22lr missing a rifle bolt.

Does anyone know if earlier BRNO/CZ rifles have a compatible rifle bolt?

There are a couple different patterns. Early ones have the safety going a different direction. Some have ball detents in the bolt handle which interface with the receiver. Your 452 won’t have a detent and the safety will engage pushing it forwards. My 452 is serialized to my rifle so there may be a degree of hand fitting beyond the usual headspace check. If you find a bolt, are in Edmonton and need to use some .22 go/no go gauges pm me.

Thanks, I appreciate the offer.

Have you considered apply for access to the EE and second have you tried Western gun Parts in Alberta?
Have your CC at the ready, your PAL along with your current firearm serial number and the part number also at the ready.
Then there is the searching out for parts at gun shows too
As to answer your first question I have no idea if a Brno bolt will fit the CZ action.

I owned a lot of these rifles, from Mod 2, 452, Mod 4, numerous 455s. The Mod 4 was bought at auction as a basket case w/o a bolt. I did a lot of research, but after trying my 452 bolt, I rightly concluded that the ball detent was not critical, and that a Brno bolt or 452 would be fine, as this was to be a shooter, not a museum piece. I did a lot of research on line, and everything pointed towards compatibility. I eventually found a 452 bolt, and I was off to the races, I have since sold the rifle to a very happy individual. BTW, I think I tried the 455 bolt in it, and it also worked.

Close up of bolt; note the hole in the receiver to engage the ball detent, but no ball detent on the bolt handle itself:

The sights are a work of art:

This is very helpful, thank you. Just to confirm, by 452 you mean the last model CZ 452 2EZKM before they moved onto the 455?
