Anybody familiar with this semi in 22 LR ? seems they are made by PPK who bought the old BRNO machines etc ?
Take down model Any advice as to reliability and value would be appreciated

Had to google it, but it looks like a new production zkm 611. For takedown, there's a cross bolt at the rear of the action, slotted for a coin or something similar. Remove the crossbolt, then while holding the forearm pull back on the buttstock. You'll wind up with a barrel and reciever in one hand, buttstock and trigger group in the other. Not as compact as rifles that detach barrel from receiver, but probably stronger and more accurate.

Dugasgunner, where did you pick yours up? I'd like to pick up some .22 wmr mags and see if they'll work in my Brno 611.

P.S. tried googling ppk rifles, keep getting pages and pages of Waltherpistols!

They are pretty rare P&D had one but he seems to have sold it Have not seen any other new ones around Dugasgunner probably snagged that one out from under me , drug my tail one day too long as guess , the importer that comes up on line seems to be from Australia ?

Yep. That was me...

Hi all. Well just received my KMS 622. Actually the model is named Brno KMS 622. First, packaging is almost a clone of CZ's packaging. So it's good. First thing i've have found out is that the description of the rifle was not correct on P&D's page. It was described as WALNUT, BLUED… Well there's no walnut on that baby. It,s beach. Very disappointed… The buttplate is very grippy and fit with stock is good. Stock is at best ok, fit with trigger group is poor. No checkering but grip is still not bad due to non glossy finish. Very solid and serviceable. Now steel work. IMHO that's where this rifle shines. Deep and regular blue, no machining marks and perfect markings. Don't know if they are roll marked but they are very regular, deep and with no burs. All forged and machined. Haven't notice any stamping there. Very hi quality steel work! Bravo. Take down is standard Brno 611. So barrel stays on receiver, which is very nice. Threads on take down bolt are, IMO, pretty fine. So i'll be careful with those. Now, for that price they had to cut somewhere. So, sights are very basic. Fix front and rear only adjustable in direction. But still, they are crisp and easy to use. I'll begin firing it with open sights to see how they work but pretty sure they will perform well. I was happy to see that a last shot bolt open system was there. Mag is steel with plastic follower. Works well for now. Finnaly the trigger. The second worst i've encounter. The worst been on a Winchester 190. Pre-travel, over-travel, creep are all there. Trigger pull is surely over 5 pounds. This is no bench rest rifle but i'm sure they have to and can make them better. I was surprise to see how well this rifle handled. Receiver is grooved for scope rings . Lightwieght, well balanced and very easy to aim with. So now that i got over the fact that it was not walnut, i'm actually very happy with that little rifle. Like the style and the steel is very nice. So if it shoots as good as it looks it will be a winner. BTW they seem to be available in WMR and HMR! Now the importer has to do his thing to bring them in Canada.

Yes the photo P&D provided was Beech not Walnut However the blue is really well done as you say Overall looks great , as you say , the shooting will tell
their rep is that they are good shooters . Anyway , congrats and let us now how it goes . Jealous out here in eastern Canada !!

Well, was never able to get the mag to positioned the bullet correctly for a reliable feed, even with that large mag ramp mag was loose, bolt open pin on mag got stock on body when inserting it, extractor could not pull out spend casings, week strikes, the firing pin hole was positioned incorrectly and strikes were almost outside of bullet rim, size of the striking part of the pin was to small... so continuous FTF, FTE and FTFire. I could find some more issues but i sold a while ago for half the price and tried very hard to forget that bad experience almost as hard i tried to make it run decently.
But they may have corrected those issues...

Well I guess having lost my opportunity to buy it , because you got it first worked out pretty well Anyway thanks for the feedback and I'll avoid that model unless I can fire it first .
