I hope this is the right place to ask this.
I have a Brno Model 5 that belonged to a deceased friend and need to have an idea of the value for estate purposes.

The rifle stock is in fair condition,it's badly refinished.The bluing is also fair the bore is bright.The gun has a Lyman peep sight on it and is a nice accurate rifle dispite some benign neglect.

I would appreciate an idea of the rifles value.The family is only interested in a ballpark figure.

Glenn these rifles in any condition are worth a good buck. $400,00 would be a reasonable estimate based on your descrption, in better shape they are worth much more. Regards Greg
 
I have 2 model 5's in VG condition. One I paid $479 for and the other I paid $519 for. But neither of these were altered by being tapped for a peep sight. In the shape you describe it's probably in G condition and maybe worth $350-$400.
