Who in Canada has a Brno number 1 listed in their inventory? Or does anyone know of where I might be able to find one, obviously preferring a near mint specimen for a special purpose build. Any help appreciated

Sorry, no #1, but my wife has a Brno Model 2, absolutely sweet little piece w/ Euro style walnut, Schnabel forend, 25" barrel. Came from an estate sale, never shot I think, pd $375 @ the Edge, Calgary.

I have a BRNO #1. Not quite mint, but in VG shape and a real shooter. The bottom tip of the buttstock and buttplate had been broken by a previous owner, so I put a rubber pad on it. It looks good, just not original. Just had it at the club today.

There's a BRNO for sale at a White's workwear shop in Lindsay, don't know if it's a #1 though. I've seen the odd one for sale at the gunshows here in Ont.. Have you put a WTB ad on the Rimfire Exchange?

Careful with modifying BRNO number 1s. If the receiver has "TGF" on the receiver, DO NOT modify it. That is a wartime Nazi-occupation produced receiver and is worth money as a collector's piece and invaluable as a piece of history.

I have been a brno collector of all types for 38 yrs. # 1's are hard to come by and to modify a near perfect 22 is near insane!

X2, to tear down one of those old beauties in an attempt to turn it into something else and less is something you will most likely regret.

If you need an action to build on, buy a new one, they ain't making anymore of the old ones..
